Cloud DevOps Engineer
Fasten your seatbelts! We are seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to support the Platform Engineer Team in developing automation and processes to enable teams to develop, deploy, manage, configure CI/CD.
Join us, ensure that Lufthansa Systems’ technologies are applied efficiently and bear the responsibility for our portfolio which provides solutions and optimal support for airlines.
Your responsibilities will include
- Actively participating in high-level team activities, such as suggesting architectural improvements, recommending process enhancements, and conducting tool evaluations.
- Addressing business needs with technology by evaluating various technology options and products.
- Troubleshooting and solving system issues across applications.
- Assisting QA automation engineers with technical testing.
- Implementing and integrating modern data analytics solutions in the cloud.
- Collaborating closely with developers to resolve issues.
You will be successful if you have
- At least 1 year of expertise in supporting Agile projects.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
- Strong experience in the Linux environment and a good understanding of its fundamentals and internals: filesystems, security, networking etc.
- Solid understanding and experience working with high availability, high performance, multi-data center systems and hybrid cloud environments.
- Scripting experience with Bash/Shell/Python.
- Experience with Version Control Systems such as Git
- Experience with Cloud solutions like Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Containerization such as Docker.
- Experience with Configuration Management tools like Ansible.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and related tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with Container Orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with GitHub.
- Experience with Monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus
- Knowledge of internet security (PKI, LDAP, RBAC, SSL, HTTPS, TLS, DTLS etc.).
- Strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues ranging from system resources to application stack traces.
- Practical knowledge of System Administration.
- Understanding of Big data purpose and main concepts.
- Knowledge of containers and principles of Microservices.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel abroad (up to 10% of time).
