Join our growing Design team at Lufthansa Systems and help shape the future of aviation software! We’re looking for a UX/UI Designer with a strong background in Design Systems to lead and evolve our design infrastructure across a diverse portfolio of B2B airline solutions.

Responsibilities

Drive the development, maintenance, and governance of our cross-product Design System
Collaborate closely with product designers, developers, and product owners to ensure consistent and scalable design implementation
Create and maintain component libraries, documentation, and usage guidelines using tools like Figma or Storybook
Advocate for design consistency, accessibility, and usability across all products
Facilitate design system onboarding, training, and support for internal teams
Contribute to the strategic direction of our design practice and help shape design operations
Foster a culture of design excellence

We are looking for you, if You

5+ years’ experience in a UX/UI design
Deep understanding of human-centered design principles and atomic design methodology
Proficiency in Figma and experience with design tokens, component libraries, and version control
Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for typography, layout, and interaction patterns
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
Experience working in agile environments
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Willingness to travel occasionally to meet partners and stakeholders

Experience with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JS)
Familiarity with UI animation tools and micro-interaction design
Background in UX research or usability testing
Knowledge of the airline or travel industry
German language skills
