The aim of this Data Processing Guideline is to inform candidates about personal data processing procedure with regard to job applications at Lufthansa Systems Hungária Kft. (located at 1117 Budapest, Neumann János utca 1E, company registry: 01-09-463417) (hereinafter: LSYH) according to regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) and applicable Hungarian legal regulation.

As Controller during our data processing activities we comply with applicable legal rules and while establishing our data management procedures we fully respect the base rights and privacy of private persons with special attention to GDPR rules.
Purpose of data processing
The purpose of data processing is to operate our career portal in order to follow up job applications and the individual recruitment phases, selection procedure to establish employment relationship as well as to inform applicants about possible future positions which may meet their professional expectations based on their experience according to the judgement of Controller.
Personal data processed
As Controller we register our applicants’ name, birth name, email address provided during registration, password, date and time of registration, mobile phone number, CV and other data provided by them (hereinafter together referred to as: Data).
In case the applicant does not provide these pieces of his or her data or is not willing to consent to data processing the usage of our career portal is not possible so the applicant cannot participate in our selection procedure. Erasement of the registration pertains to same consequences.
Source of data
The above mentioned categories of personal data are collected by the Controller via applicant registration on https://job.lhsystems.hu/en/home webpage, other electronical channel (email), or by the recommendation of Controller’s employee.
Access and storage of data
Besides the Recruitment team indicated on the portal, only those employees of the Controller are authorized to know and use the Data who are involved in applicant selection process for the concerned job. Controller stores Data in the system provided and operated by its subcontractor, nexum Magyarország Kft. (located at 6726 Szeged, Temesvári krt. 15) in Hungary.
Period of data processing
Data processing starts with the registration on the portal and in case of a general application it lasts until one year counted from the last portal entry, in case of a spcific job application the storage period is 5 years commencing on the fulfilment or resultless cancellation of the vacancy. We inform our candidates if their application is redirected to a different vacancy other than they originally applied for. In case the Controller judges so, before the expiry date of the storage period registered applicants may be contacted to lengthen that period with one more year in order to submit possible opportunities to the applicants. The extension of the storage period requires consent.
During the whole data processing period we may inform our applicants in email about actual vacancies meeting their educational and professional preferences indicated in their profile.
Legal basis for processing
Data processing of Controller is based on applicant’s consent, if registered on https://job.lhsystems.hu/en/home webpage and provided their approval and if applicant’s data reaches Controller upon their own initiation (in email or via referral).
Data transmission
During the selection process of specific positions Controller may disclose the contact details of the applicant for an external adviser company (data processor) in order to delegate certain phases of the recruitment process. The applicant’s consent is required for us to receive the respective personal data from the adviser company. The data processor may only use the received and generated data to evaluate the candidate. Before data transmission we always inform the applicant about the person of the data processor.
Applicants’ rights
This is to inform our applicants that according to legal regulation they can enforce their rights in email to recruitment.budapest@lhsystems.com based on which they are entitled to – within legally defined frames -:
a) request access to the processed data and a copy of the personal data undergoing processing; (Article 15)
b) obtain information about main details of data processing (purpose, categories of data, data processor/s involved, limitation); (Article 15)
c) revoke their consent at any time; (Article 7 (3))
c) obtain without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning them; (Article 16)
d) obtain the erasure of personal data concerning them without undue delay; (Article 17)
e) obtain restriction of processing; (Article 18)
f) receive the personal data concerning them, which they have provided, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit those data to another controller; (Article 20);
g) lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in their habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement; (Article 77).
In Hungary the supervisory authority is the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (located at 1125 Budapest, Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor 22/c.)
In case of injuria applicants have the right to initiate proceedings against Controller or data processor at the National Court of Controller’s or data processor’s place of operation or at the respective Court according to applicant’s habitual residence.
