Security Operation Engineer - Szeged

To further strengthen our cybersecurity posture, we are looking for a Security Operations Engineer to join our Security Operations Team. This role includes participation in the SecOps on-call rotation. 

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security events via SIEM
• Respond to and manage security incidents in coordination with the Lufthansa Group Cyber Defense Center (CDC) and the Lufthansa Systems Information Security Office
• Support key operational IT security processes in line with company standards:
• Vulnerability management and remediation
• Incident management (regular hours and on-call)
• Security monitoring and alerting
• Improve information security processes, systems, tools, and solutions (e.g., through data analysis), including preparing presentations for key stakeholders
• Implement, deploy, and operate core security solutions in close cooperation with the security architecture team, such as:
• Endpoint detection and response / anti-malware
• Host- and network-based intrusion detection/prevention systems
• Vulnerability management tools
• Work effectively with threat intelligence
• Monitor and enforce global security rules across local IT and cloud environments
• Participate in security drills, penetration testing, red teaming, purple teaming, and related activities
• Collaborate with security and solution experts, technology partners, external vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to analyze processes and technology requirements and support issue identification and communication

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of SIEM and XDR solutions, preferably Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender
• Solid background in security operations
• In-depth knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with Palo Alto technologies (especially the Cortex family) is a plus
• Background in security frameworks such as ISO 2700x or NIST is an advantage
• Experience with infrastructure as code is considered a plus
