About the Role

In this role, you will be actively involved in all phases of our cloud journey—from implementing and operating cloud-based solutions to supporting service transitions and ensuring secure, compliant operations.
Participation in our on-call rotation is a key requirement, as we operate in a 24/7 mission-critical environment that demands timely expert support, especially during incidents outside regular business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS)
- Support migration of on-prem applications to the cloud
- Troubleshoot and support Linux and (and some) Windows systems in virtualized cloud environments
- Monitor systems using modern tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions (Terraform, Ansible).
- Collaborate with Security Operations (SecOps) to ensure regulatory and benchmark compliance (e.g. vulnerability management)
- Support Application Operations and DevOps teams in issue resolution and infrastructure delivery
- Manage access, availability, and performance of IT systems, including networking, storage, and compute
- Participate in a shared on-call support rotation, ensuring 24/7 service availability
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Linux or Windows operating systems
- Experience in server management (web, application, database)
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- Working knowledge of monitoring systems (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, Check_mk)
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of networking concepts and firewall principles
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python, Perl)
- Good command of technical English (written and spoken)
- High-level analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally (max 10%)
Nice to Have
- ITIL knowledge and experience with ITSM processes
- Experience with cloud platforms (Preferably with Azure, but GCP is also welcome)
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (XEN, VMware, Hyper-V)
- Working knowledge of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
